Syz Capital is an independent Swiss alternative asset manager founded by a group of entrepreneurs. Their mission is to provide investors the opportunity to invest alongside the Syz family in hard to access resilient opportunities throughout private equity, uncorrelated strategies and liquid alternatives. In private markets we offer direct majority investments, thematic funds and tailor-made solutions to high-net-worth individuals and institutions.

The private markets division is looking for an intern to support the investment team across direct and indirect private equity investments as well as uncorrelated strategies, starting in April 2024.

Mission

Job description/ key responsibilities:

• Review incoming investment opportunities and maintain an investment database
• Support the investment team in research and due diligence of direct investments, co-investments and fund commitments
• Support the investment team in managing and monitoring of positions
• Engage in the qualitative and quantitative assessment of investment opportunities, including Excel based financial analysis
• Prepare supporting documents for the Investment Committee
• Perform market research and analysis

Profil

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from a leading university in either Economics, Management/Business Administration, Finance or Engineering
• First relevant working experience (Private Equity, M&A, Transaction Services or Consulting)
• Analytical and entrepreneurial mindset
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and willingness to learn
• Excellent capabilities in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Fluent in English and German (written and oral), any other European language is a plus
